What role does dark matter play in the formation of galaxies, how do we deduce its presence from the movement of stars and galaxies? The film is an animated exploration of the Earth’s surface, where scientists conduct extremely sensitive experiments to reveal very rare direct interactions of dark matter particles with ordinary matter, and an excursion into the LHC giant particle accelerator and CERN laboratories.
